- I bought this after seeing the P90X program on TV and researching it was recommened that beginners or folks out of shape should do the power 90 program first. I took the advice and got the Power 90 program. Tony is a great trainer and the first few times you are really tired, but you get used to the program after a couple weeks and that is when you can really push it. If you don’t push yourself then you will not see results as fast. I have just completed 45 days and I went from being 6’1″ and 235 (obese) to a built (gained a lot of upper body muscle) 215 and went from a large 38 pant size (really should have been 40) to a 35. I am pumped and working out is fun again! I am now moving on to the series 3-4 of the workout and when I finish the 90 days I am ordering P90X to get in even better shape! If you are out of shape and over weight you gotta try this out!
- After researching P90X, which appears to have supplanted the Power 90, I knew I wasn’t ready for such a challenging (extreme) program so I decided to start with the Power 90. Like all of Tony Horton’s programs and, as many other users/reviewers have stated, you get out of the program what you put into it. If you don’t commit to excercising and discipline yourself to do the routines as recommended (6 days per week), you’re not going to see results. If you proceed as instructed, you will definitely see changes, as promised, and fairly quickly, too.
- I have stayed in fairly good shape for most of my life. That was until about 3 years ago. With slower metabolism and the same bad eating habits, I quickly began to gain weight. At 33, I was about 25 pounds overweight and felt terrible. My feet and joints hurt. I was constantly tired. I lost my flexibility and stamina. Honestly, I felt OLD. I just figured this was part of aging and that there was nothing I could about it. Prior to starting Power 90, I had been eating better, exercising, and losing a few pounds. Then a friend who knew this recommended Power 90. I figured it was worth a try. Level 1-2 was not aerobically hard, but I could tell my core strength and flexibility were severely lacking. It didn’t take long before I was ready to quickly move to 3-4. Initially, this was tough. However, around day 45, it began to seem pretty easy. Around day 60, I am now more ripped than I have ever been. Not as ripped as Tony on the P90x advertisement, but more like he was on the DVD case for Power 90. At a recent gathering of high school and college friends, several people commented about how young and healthy I looked. And the best part is that I feel GREAT – like I did 15 years ago, if not better! My feet and joints don’t hurt any more. I am now full of energy. My stamina and flexibility have greatly increased. For anyone that is serious about getting in shape, this is a great place to start. Look at the eating guide as well. This gives some excellent guidelines that will help maximize your results. After day 90, it’s on to P90x!
- I had bought this because I wanted to do the P90x system but thought that I wasn’t in good enough shape to start it. This system consists of 3 circuits each about 30 min in length. It’s challenging to go through any of the three circuits without a break or doing an alternative, easier version of the exercises, but I think that anyone could jump in and start. I’ve been in it three weeks and have lost three inches in the waist and also dropped about 7 pounds. What’s better is to see my progress within the exercises: I’m doing more pushups, situps, etc. Great program!
- I just finished the Power 90 program in prep to make a go at P90x. If you are considering P90x, take their fit test (on their website) first. Even though I passed (barely), I decided to go with Power 90 since I did need to lose some weight before proceeding with P90x.
- I purchased p90 after realizing I wasn’t in good enough shape to take on p90x. I followed the program, pretty much to the letter, and within 6 weeks I could see my abs and was starting to feel great. I was 226lbs, and in 6 weeks I got down to 205.
- I was pretty much a couch potato who would work out once in a while, and then just stop completely for several months. Power 90 is a decent workout for people who are trying to get back into shape who want to get into a mediocre level of fitness; or just maintain an average body. Here is what I like about it: 1.)A good smooth start for beginners. It will get your body in decent shape. 2.)Short workout time. The workouts last from 35-45 minutes; stretching, warming up, workout, and cool down in all. 3.)Good mix of everything. Tony incorporates stretching, warming up, and cooling down all at the right times during a workout. 4.)Has a timer countdown on screen. 5.)Tony has great direction, tries to motivate you, and tries to be funny. Just by listening to him speak and guiding on how you should do a certain movement/stretch, you get a sense that he actually knows what he’s talking about when it comes to fitness. 6.)Tony TOUCHES, but doesnt dive into what’s in the P90X program. He scratches on Stretching, Yoga, Strength training, Cardio, Kicking/Punching. This sets you up and gets you somewhat used to what comes in P90X.

The Negative Power 90 Reviews
There have been very few negative comments made about Power 90. Here is what I have found
- The videos are so boring and so old fashion that you think you’re back in the 80′s

Repetitive. You have Level 1 and Level 2 routines. Basically Cardio Level 1, and Circuit Training level 1. Once you get to level 2, you’re pretty much stuck doing the same thing every other day, and it gets old after the first month.

The Power 90 workout program has become the first step in the journey to achieving a healthy physique for thousands of people. It is for people who want to lose weight and it is for people who want to improve their fitness. It takes its name from the fact that it is a 90 day workout program. Its official name is Power 90 In-Home Boot Camp.
The program is for people who are new to fitness workouts and for people who have been away from fitness workouts for quite some time. The workouts are about 30 – 40 minutes in length and you alternate days between strength training and cardio. You follow the workouts on the DVDs that come with the program.

The program features cardio and body-sculpting workouts that rotate between easy moves that tone and firm your entire body, laser-focused ab routines, innovative cardio moves like kickboxing, and Pilates-type moves for creating long, lean muscles.
